Medical Records

Q. Can I get a copy of my films?
A. Depending on the year that your films were taken and the specific modality, copies of your films may be available. We can loan films to any physician's office that requests them. We can also provide physicians with CDs rather than hard copy films. The CD is all-inclusive and requires no additional software. Unlike hardcopy films, the CD does not have to be returned to Body Imaging but can be placed in the patient's medical file, allowing immediate, anytime access. Physicians may also choose to take advantage of AMICAS LightView, which permits immediate remote access to patient reports and PACS images (ultrasound, MRI and CT).

Q. How long does Body Imaging keep records on file?
A. Body Imaging follows all state guidelines for medical record retention. Due to space needs, x-rays taken more than 2 years ago may be stored off site and will require 24-hour notification to retrieve.
